PT. Baruna Raya Logistics Partners with Jakarta Red Cross for April 2021 Corporate Blood Drive
JAKARTA — Demonstrating continuous commitment to corporate social responsibility, PT. Baruna Raya Logistics hosted a employee blood donation drive in April 2021. Organized in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) DKI Jakarta Chapter, the event took place at Peacock Rooms 1–3 under strict health and safety protocols.
Strict Health Protocols & Social Distancing
To ensure a safe environment for both donors and medical personnel, the organizers implemented comprehensive preventive measures:
- Mask Sanitation: All participants were required to wear face masks. PMI personnel provided fresh masks and instructed qualified donors to replace their masks prior to blood collection.
- Crowd Control: A structured waiting area was arranged to maintain social distancing and prevent overcrowding inside the donor room.
Rigorous Medical Screening
Supervised by Dr. Merry Sinaga, the donation procedure followed strict medical screening stages:
- Registration & Documentation: Donors completed detailed health declaration forms.
- Hemoglobin (Hb) Screening: Donor Hb levels were verified within the required range of 12.5 g% to 17.0 g%.
- Physical & Blood Pressure Examination: Dr. Merry Sinaga conducted physical evaluations and verified blood pressure levels within 100–170 mmHg (systolic) and 70–100 mmHg (diastolic).
Supporting National Blood Supply
Upon passing all health checks, donors proceeded to the collection area to contribute approximately 450 ml of blood per unit. Participants received complimentary care packages from the organizing team following their donation.
