PT. Baruna Raya Logistics Delivers Humanitarian Relief Aids for Palu & Donggala Tsunami Victims

BALIKPAPAN — Demonstrating strong solidarity and corporate social responsibility, PT. Baruna Raya Logistics, alongside its affiliated companies PT. Baruna Balikpapan Sejahtera and PT. Wasesa Line, mobilized immediate humanitarian support for the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck Palu and Donggala, Central Sulawesi.

Employee Fundraising Initiative

Deeply saddened by the tragedy, management and employees across the companies united to raise funds between October 1st and October 5th, 2018. The collective contributions were swiftly converted into essential emergency supplies and disaster recovery kits to meet the urgent daily needs of affected families in the disaster zone.

Essential Relief Supplies Delivered:

• Basic Living Essentials: Blankets, towels, and veils (jilbab)
• Nutritional & Food Supplies: Ready-to-eat food and infant formula
• Health & Sanitation: Hygiene kits, sanitation supplies, and core medications
• Recovery Supplies: Emergency disaster recovery materials

Seamless Logistics Operations at Sepinggan Airport

The delivery of the humanitarian cargo was personally coordinated and overseen by the Branch Manager of PT. Baruna Raya Logistics, Mr. Suhirman Hudi Wiyandono, alongside company representatives.

The complete aid consignment was transported to Hangar D at Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport in Balikpapan. Upon arrival, the cargo was officially handed over to and unloaded by the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) team to ensure rapid air distribution directly to the field and affected local communities in Central Sulawesi.
